PepsiCo clocks double-digit volume growth in Indian beverages market in Jun qtr

Global food and beverages major PepsiCo on Thursday reported a double-digit growth in beverages volume in India in the second quarter of the 2024 calendar year, thereby leading to a 2 per cent overall rise in Africa, Middle East & South Asia region.
The company also said its convenient foods unit volume grew double-digit in India in the April-June period.
"Beverage unit volume grew 2 per cent (in Africa, Middle East & South Asia - AMESA region), primarily reflecting double-digit growth in India, partially offset by a high-single-digit decline in Pakistan, a low-single-digit decline in the Middle East and a mid-single-digit decline in Nigeria," PepsiCo said in a regulatory filing.
