IMD warns of scorching summer, predicts 11 more heatwave days
New Delhi, April 01, 2025.The India Meteorological Department has forecasted an intense heatwave this summer, with above normal temperatures expected across most of the country.Mrutyunjay Mohapatra, chief of the India Meteorological Department, said several states would experience more heatwave days than usual this year, which may last 10-11 days in central and eastern India.The department has indicated that the temperature is expected to be higher than usual between April and June this year.
