Traveling from Jaipur to Delhi, Kota and Sikar will become expensive for car, bus and truck drivers. Tax charges have been increased at seven toll booths. The new toll rates will be effective from Monday midnight.
The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has increased rates at one toll booth on Jaipur Ring Road, Daulatpura booth on Ajmer-Delhi bypass, and at Manoharpur and Shahjahanpur tolls on Jaipur-Delhi Old Highway. Earlier, toll tax was also increased on the Jaipur-Kishangarh highway.
According to the new rates, car drivers will now have to pay Rs 200 instead of Rs 190 at the Shahjahanpur toll. At the Manoharpur toll booth, the rate for cars has not increased. Light commercial vehicles and buses and trucks will have to pay more toll tax.
At Daulatpura toll, the car rate has been increased from Rs 75 to Rs 80. Meanwhile, bus-truck rates have been increased from Rs 260 to Rs 265. However, the rate for light commercial vehicles has not been increased.
