Zika virus has once again hit Rajasthan after 6 years. The death of a Zika virus positive patient has given sleepless nights to the health department. Earlier in 2018, several cases of Zika virus were reported in Jaipur, but no one died.

The health department is on alert after the death of a Zika positive patient is confirmed in Bajaj Nagar area of ​​Jaipur. The department has given instructions to Jaipur CMHO for effective prevention and control.

The health department has taken blood and urine samples of the people who came in contact with the patient. These have been sent to SMS Microbiology Lab for testing. The history of contact with Zika positive patient is also being investigated.

66-year-old Rajendra had high fever in Bajaj Nagar area of ​​Jaipur. After this, when his health worsened, he was admitted to a private hospital. Dr. Arun Aggarwal, who treated Rajendra, said that when he arrived for treatment, his condition was critical. Therefore he has been admitted to ICU.

He was having fever for three days and there was redness all over his body. He was troubled with loose motions and was not able to urinate. He was having trouble walking for two days. So he was brought to the hospital on a stretcher.
