Amazon exits Shoppers Stop; sells 4% stake for Rs 276 crore

New Delhi, December 19, 2024. Global ecommerce giant Amazon on Wednesday exited retail chain Shoppers Stop by selling a 4% stake in the company for Rs 276 crore through an open market transaction. US-based Amazon, through its investment arm Amazon.com NV Investment Holdings, sold nearly 44 lakh shares or 4% stake in Mumbai-headquartered Shoppers Stop, as per the block deal data on the National Stock Exchange (NSE). The shares were offloaded at an average price of Rs 627.60 apiece, taking the transaction value to Rs 275.89 crore.

Milk powder given to 62k anganwadis

Jaipur, December 19, 2024.  Seventeen lakh children between three and six years of age will be given milk at 62,000 anganwadi centres in the state from this month. Officials said that by Wednesday, the distribution of milk powder was completed in 50% of the anganwadi centres across the state. The women and child development department has given an order to Rajasthan Cooperative Dairy Federation (RCDF) to supply 743.5 metric tonnes of milk every three months for all anganwadi centres in the state.

Lokpal registered 210 complaints during 2024-25: Centre

New Delhi, December 18, 2024. Over 200 complaints were registered with Lokpal during the financial year 2024-25 (till November 30, 2024), the Lok Sabha was informed on Wednesday. Of the 210 complaints, 158 have been disposed of, Union Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh said in a written reply. During the financial year 2023-24, a total of 166 complaints were registered with the Lokpal, out of which a total of 156 complaints had been disposed of, he said.
