Candidates appearing for REET exam in Rajasthan will be able to travel for free in roadways buses for five days, which includes two days before the exam and two days after the exam. To avail the facility, candidates will need to show their admit card, said officials.
“If a candidate’s exam is on Feb 27, they will be able to travel for free from Feb 25 till March 1. If a candidate’s exam is on Feb 28, they will be able to avail of the facility between Feb 26 and March 2. This facility will be given to the candidates only in the Blue Line buses of roadways,” said officials.
Due to the high number of candidates appearing for the exam, special trains between Jodhpur-Gwalior-Dhehar Ke Balaji will run on Feb 26 and Feb 27. The trains will have a total of 22 coaches, including 20 general class and 2 guard coaches. This year, over 14,29,800 students from across the state registered to appear for REET. A total of 1,731 exam centres have been set up in 41 districts of the state, and the exam will be conducted in three shifts over two days. For the exam, 1,14,696 candidates applied for both Level-1 and Level-2. This year, Jaipur has the highest number of candidates, while Balotra has the lowest number of candidates.
For the successful conduct of the REET examination, 24 RAS officers and equivalent service have been assigned responsibilities as area officers, and 48 officers of Rajasthan Tehsildar Service and equivalent service have been assigned responsibilities as zonal officers in Jaipur district, said officials. One area officer has been appointed for every 10 centres, and one zonal officer for every 5 examination centres. The district administration appointed 264 question paper coordinators.
