Rajasthan to get the biggest gift of the new incarnation of Vande Bharat this year. The country’s first AC sleeper Vande Bharat train will start from Marwar. A centralized maintenance depot is being built in Jodhpur for the new AC sleeper model of Vande Bharat train. About Rs 166 crore will be spent for this. All the sleeper Vande Bharat trains running across the country will be maintained here.
Indian Railways had gifted three Vande Bharat trains to Rajasthan in the year 2023. The first train started between Ajmer and Delhi. After this the train ran between Jaipur-Udaipur and Jodhpur-Sabarmati (Gujarat). Meanwhile, it was announced by the Railway Ministry that AC Sleeper Vande Bharat will be run in the year 2024.
