Life in Jaipur has started getting affected due to continuous fog and cold wave since last few days. 4 flights leaving in the morning departed late. Due to cold winds, it became freezing cold not only in the morning and evening but also during the day. Due to this, the temperature in Jaipur did not rise above 20 degrees Celsius for the last 5 days.
Last night the minimum temperature in Jaipur was recorded at 7.4 degrees Celsius. Fog started from the night itself. Due to dense fog in the morning, visibility remained less than 50 meters at Jaipur Airport.
In view of the severe cold, Jaipur Collector extended the school holidays for children from class 1 to 8 till January 13. In such a situation, now the children of these classes will have to go to school on 16th January. Due to Makar Sankranti holiday on Sunday 14th and 15th January, children will now be able to go to school on 16th January.
