Taiwanese electronics manufacturing company Foxconn Technology Group has approved investment of $ 1 billion (about ₹ 8 thousand crore) in Apple India plant in India. The company will use this money in the manufacturing of Apple products.
Foxconn makes about 70% of iPhones globally. Since last year, Foxconn has expanded its presence in India to a great extent. The company had revealed plans to invest $600 million in Karnataka in August. The company is taking steps towards manufacturing chips as well as iPhones in India.
