Jaipur, January 04, 2025.
After a prolonged spell of cold wave conditions, there was a respite from shivering cold.
A rise of almost 4° Celsius in the day temperatures was witnessed. Vanasthali remained the coldest in the state, where a minimum temperature of 5.8°C was recorded, the Met reports stated.
Attributing the climatic conditions to the active northerly winds and the vanishing of western disturbances, the Met office said, in the coming days, bright sunny days would be witnessed.
People in Jaipur woke up to a comparatively warmer morning with a minimum temperature of 8.8°C, followed by a bright sunny afternoon with a maximum temperature of 26.8°C, almost 5°C above the normal notch. Since no fog or mist was present in the morning, traffic on the highways connecting Jaipur to Agra, Jaipur to Delhi, and Jaipur to Ajmer was smooth.
The Met office said that mercury will continue to take an upward swing across the state in the coming days.
Dungarpur was followed by Sriganganagar, where a minimum temperature of 6.1°C was recorded, Alwar 6.2, Nagaur 6.3, Churu 6.8, Jaisalmer 8.5, Bikaner 9.1, and a minimum temperature of 11.4°C was recorded at Sikar.
