Now, consumers can apply for new electricity connections on e-Mitra
Jaipur, March 17, 2025.Applications for new electricity connections can now be made through e-Mitra and applicants would not be required to visit offices of the discoms.While the e-Mitra option was there earlier, it was not connected to the New Connection Management System module of discoms, requiring physical visits.A senior official of the energy department said that Jaipur, Jodhpur, and Ajmer electricity distribution companies (discoms) have started the facility for all categories of consumers."Now, we have made it easy for people to get connections in all categories through e-Mitra," said discoms chairman Aarti Dogra, adding that services related to depositing electricity bills and payment for other services are already provided on e-Mitra.The department is working ...
