IndiGo Q3 profit slides 18 pc to Rs 2,450 crore

New Delhi, January 24, 2025. The country's largest airline IndiGo on Friday reported a nearly 18 per cent decline in consolidated profit of Rs 2,450.1 crore for the three months ended December 2024. The carrier had a profit of Rs 2,986.3 crore in the year-ago period, according to a regulatory filing.

IndiGo announces flights between Delhi and Bikaner

Jaipur, January 02, 2025.  IndiGo on Thursday announced Bikaner as its 90th domestic and 127th overall destination within its network. Starting February 7, IndiGo will enhance regional connectivity with new daily direct flights between Bikaner and Delhi, marking the airline's fifth destination in Rajasthan, airline officials said. With over 250 daily departures, the airline connects to 88 destinations from Delhi, linking to 69 domestic and 19 international destinations. New Delhi, November 19, 2024. IndiGo Airlines has announced the launch of daily direct flights connecting Chennai and Penang, starting December 21, 2024. IndiGo announces direct flights to Abu Dhabi from Mangaluru, Coimbatore, Tiruchirappalli

New Delhi, July 17, 2024. IndiGo has announced the launch of direct flights from Mangaluru, Coimbatore, and Tiruchirappalli to Abu Dhabi. The flights on the Abu Dhabi to Mangaluru route will operate daily, from August 9, and the Tiruchirappalli to Abu Dhabi will operate four times a week, starting from August 11. Starting from August 10, the direct flights from Coimbatore will operate thrice weekly. IndiGo plans to start flights to Mauritius, 9 other new destinations

New Delhi, June 03, 2024. IndiGo is planning to start flights to 10 new domestic and international destinations, including Mauritius, in the current financial year, its CEO Pieter Elbers said on Monday. At a briefing on the IATA World Air Transport Summit here, Elbers stressed the importance of having collaborations but also made it clear that "it is good to have tailor-made partnerships". Amid the rising number of air travellers, the airline has placed orders for 30 wide body A350-900 planes and has also announced plans to introduce business class seats by the end of this year.

IndiGo withdraws fuel charge; airfares to reduce by up to Rs 1,000

New Delhi, January 04, 2024. The country's largest airline IndiGo on Thursday announced the withdrawal of fuel charge that was collected from passengers, a move that will reduce airfares by up to Rs 1,000 on certain long routes. In the wake of a spike in jet fuel prices, the airline started levying the fuel charge on each domestic and international ticket from October 6, 2023. The quantum of the fuel charge varied from Rs 300 to up to Rs 1,000 depending on the distance. The airline, which is expanding its operations, said the fuel charge has been withdrawn with effect from January 4, due to the recent reduction in Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) prices.

The jump in the ranking has come due to the continuous rise in the stock of the airline's parent company InterGlobe Aviation for 12 consecutive days. For the first time since its listing in 2015, Indigo stock saw a rise in 12 consecutive trading days. The stock has given a return of 16% since the rally started from November 28. Earlier in 2021, there was a rise in prices for 11 consecutive trading days from August 23. However, in the last rally, stockholders got a return of 19%.
