Dr Reddy’s Lab gets nod to carry out bioequivalence study of semaglutide injection

New Delhi, October 19, 2023. An expert panel of the Central Drug Authority has  recommended that permission be given to Dr Reddy's Laboratories to carry out a bioequivalence study of its semaglutide injection, which is used for weight loss, type 2 diabetes and reducing cardiovascular risk. The pharma firm had approached the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI)seeking a waiver for the phase-III clinical trial of the drug and its market authorisation. Govt hikes wheat MSP by Rs 150 per quintal to Rs 2,275/quintal for 2024-25

New Delhi, October 18, 2023. Ahead of assembly polls in key wheat growing states, the government on Wednesday announced an increase in the minimum support price (MSP) of wheat by Rs 150 to Rs 2,275 per quintal for the 2024-25 marketing season. This is the highest increase by the Narendra Modi-led government since it came to power in 2014. A decision in this regard was taken in the meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) chaired by Prime Minister Modi.
