New Delhi, August 2023. Hero MotoCorp, the world's largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, today reported its financial performance for the first quarter (April-June 2023) of the FY’ 2024. The company's Revenue from Operations for the quarter stood at Rs. 8,767 Crore, (vs Rs. 8,393 Crore) and Total Income of Rs 8,989 Crore (vs Rs 8,446 Crore) Driven by softening of commodity costs, accelerated savings programs, and judicious price increases, EBITDA margin for the quarter stood at 13.8%, reflecting an improvement of 250 bps. India Electric Mobility Council demands continuation of incentives for electric vehicle sector

New Delhi, August 10, 2023. Industry body IEMC on Thursday demanded continuation of incentives given to electric vehicle sector and cautioned that the withdrawal of sops would reduce EV sales to 37 million units by 2030 from estimated 125 million. According to India Electric Mobility Council (IEMC), India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) has estimated that on discontinuation of the demand incentives, the electric vehicles (EV) sales in India will reduce from estimated 125 million units to 37 million units by 2030. Jaipur, July 31, 2023. Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) on Monday said its consolidated net profit surged over two-fold to Rs 2,525 crore for the first quarter ended on June 30, 2023, riding on the back of robust sales, improved realisation, cost reduction efforts and higher non-operating income. The country's largest carmaker reported a net profit of Rs 1,036 crore in the same period of 2022-23. Total revenue from operations increased to Rs 32,338 crore in the April-June quarter from Rs 26,512 crore in the year-ago period, according to an exchange filing by the company.
