Active western disturbances and northerly winds provided respite to people from heatwave conditions Monday. However, the Met office said intense heatwave conditions are likely to revive from Wednesday in the state and are likely to persist till the month-end. During this period, some places in western Rajasthan are expected to experience maximum temperatures above 45 degrees Celsius.
On Monday, many places in the state recorded a dip of almost 4 degrees Celsius. Jaipur recorded a minimum of 27.7°C and maximum of 39°C.
Sriganganagar and Dholpur recorded the hottest temperatures at 41.8°C.
Emergency OPDs at govt hospitals across Raj are seeing an influx of heatstroke patients, with 36 such cases of heatstroke recorded so far. A health department official said, “No death due to heatstroke has been reported so far. All the 36 patients brought to the emergency OPDs of govt hospitals were provided with treatment.”
