Milk powder given to 62k anganwadis

Jaipur, December 19, 2024.  Seventeen lakh children between three and six years of age will be given milk at 62,000 anganwadi centres in the state from this month. Officials said that by Wednesday, the distribution of milk powder was completed in 50% of the anganwadi centres across the state. The women and child development department has given an order to Rajasthan Cooperative Dairy Federation (RCDF) to supply 743.5 metric tonnes of milk every three months for all anganwadi centres in the state.

After cancelling the joint tender for solar and thermal projects of 11,200 MW, Urja Vikas and IT Services Ltd, the power procuring entity of the state govt, issued Monday a notice inviting tender for only thermal capacity of 3,200 MW. In the new tender, the controversial solar component of 8,000 MW was dropped. Instead, the state agency is currently banking on the decentralised projects of smaller capacities awarded under the Kusum C, A and PM Surya Ghar schemes by the three discoms to provide power locally at the sub-station level. The Integrated Clean Energy Policy 2024, introduced last week, makes provisions for virtual net metering and gross net metering. Virtual net metering allows multiple consumers operating in the same licence area to set up collective solar power systems and draw individually.
