PM Modi to launch multiple development projects in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh

New Delhi, October 04, 2023.Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch development projects worth Rs 12,600 crore in Madhya Pradesh and Rs 5,000 crore in Rajasthan during his visit to the two poll-bound states on Thursday.In Jodhpur in Rajasthan, the Prime Minister's Office said, Modi will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate multiple development projects in sectors like road, rail, aviation, health and higher education.In Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of development projects in sectors such as road, rail, gas pipeline, housing and clean drinking water, it said.

Rajasthan Cabinet approves formation of 19 new districts, 3 divisions in state

Jaipur, August 04, 2023.The Rajasthan Cabinet on Friday approved the proposal of a high-level committee to form 19 new districts and three new divisions in the state.Rajasthan will now have a total of 50 districts, Additional Chief Secretary (Revenue) Aparna Arora said, adding that the new districts will be notified shortly.Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot announced in the Assembly the formation of 19 new districts and three divisions in March. He said a high-level committee had been formed to study the formation of new districts and the state government has received a report.

Jaipur, August 03, 2023.Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Thursday said his Haryana counterpart was trying to divert attention from communal clashes taking place there by offering to give Rajasthan Police a free hand in acting against Monu Manesar – a Bajrang Dal activist and cow vigilante.His remarks came a day after Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said Rajasthan Police was free to take action against Monu Manesar, the prime accused in the killing of two Muslims in February this year on suspicion of being cow smugglers.Gehlot alleged that earlier when Rajasthan Police went to Haryana to arrest the accused in the double murder case, it received no cooperation from police there.
