Application forms for admission in private schools under Right to Education (RTE) can be submitted online from March 25 to April 7. Parents can choose up to five schools as options for the lottery, which will be conducted on April 9. In private schools, 25% of seats in Class 1 and pre-primary will be reserved under RTE.
“All private schools in all districts of Rajasthan will have to update their profiles by March 24. After this, from March 25 to April 7, parents will be able to apply online for the admission of their children,” said an official.
For RTE admission, the applicant must be a permanent resident of Rajasthan, and the annual income of the family should be less than Rs 2.5 lakh. Under documents, an income certificate, child’s age certificate, domicile certificate, caste certificate, below poverty line card, a working mobile number, and passport size photo are mandatory.
After the lottery, the list of selected children will be displayed in the respective schools and on the RTE portal. Parents will have to report online to confirm the admission between April 9 and April 15. During this time, the application forms submitted will be checked by the school till April 21.
On April 22, the remaining applications will be auto-verified by NIC, and parents will be given a chance to modify the documents. Till May 5, a rejection request can be made by the school, which will be checked by the chief block education officer, and final selection will be done on the portal from May 9 till July 15.
