Samples of 10 medicines of Chief Minister Free Medicine Scheme failed: Eye drops, malaria and asthma medicines included; ban on Supply

Jaipur, May 20, 2024.

Samples of 10 medicines supplied under the Chief Minister Free Medicine Scheme have failed. Rajasthan Medical Services Corporation (RMSC) has banned the supply of 10 medicines of 8 companies. These medicines include tablets used in fungal infections, injections given to serious malaria patients, eye drops and Asthalin, a medicine used in case of difficulty in breathing.

RMSC MD Neha Giri said that the supply of medicines has been stopped after the samples of these medicines supplied under the Chief Minister’s Free Medicine Scheme were found to be non-standard. In place of these medicines, medicines of other companies have been ordered for supply in stock, so that the patients do not face any shortage of medicines. He told that to maintain the quality of medicines, our team takes samples of every batch of medicines supplied and gets them tested
