HC stays creation of 3 new Shergarh villages

Jodhpur, January 27, 2025. The Jodhpur bench of Rajasthan High Court, has stayed the declaration of three new revenue villages created in Shergarh tehsil of Jodhpur district, terming their creation contrary to the circular issued by the state govt for the purpose. These three villages had been recommended for creation from the original revenue village Khirja Bhoja under Shergarh tehsil in Dec 2023 by Shergarh BJP MLA Babu Singh Rathore. Hearing the petition, single bench of Justice Vineet Kumar Mathur issued a notice to the state govt, seeking a response in the matter, while listing the matter for next hearing on Feb 14, 2025. Rajasthan High Court said- Heatwave-Coldwave should be declared a national disaster

Jaipur, May 30, 2024. Hundreds of deaths have occurred across the country due to extreme heat and heatwave. But governments are not paying attention to this. This comment was made today by the Rajasthan High Court while taking suo motu cognizance of the deaths due to heatwave. Regarding the deaths due to heat wave, Justice Anup Kumar Dhandh said that now the time has come to declare heat wave and cold wave as national disasters and make advance preparations to deal with these natural disaster. The court has also directed the state government to pay appropriate compensation in case of deaths caused by the heatwave. Besides, the court has also issued several guidelines to the government to provide relief to the people

The age of the candidates has been fixed at 18 to 40 years. Relaxation in upper age limit will be provided to the candidates coming from reserved category as per rules.
