The discussion around the age difference between male actors and their female co-stars has become regular. Recently, actor Tamannaah Bhatia, 33, who will soon be seen alongside Rajinikanth, 72, in Nelson’s Jailer, was asked about the 39-year age gap between her and the superstar. She dismissed the discussion and said she would like to do dance numbers even at 60, just like Tom Cruise does his own stunts even at 60.
At the launch of Jailor’s song “Tu Aa Dilbara”, Tamannaah was questioned about the age difference. She replied, “Why are you even looking at the age difference? You have to look at two characters that are being played on the screen, that’s it.”
To further her point, the actor cited the example of Hollywood actor Tom Cruise. Throughout his career, Cruise has starred in many action films and has never used a stunt double to perform action sequences. Tamannaah added, “If I’ve to talk about age, then I will look at Tom Cruise’s stunts even at the age of 60, and I would like to do saucy dance numbers at that age too.”
